Vermonters Say 'NO' to Eleos AI at Howard Center

Howard Center has decided to utilize Eleos Health's AI tools in its services. Eleos Health is a company with direct links to Israel and IDF. By using their services Howard Center is directly linking itself, and the community it serves, to the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people by the apartheid state of Israel. As if that weren't bad enough, AI tools like those made by Eleos Health are unproven with regard to the services provided by Howard Center and have been documented to perpetuate the racism and sexism already rampant in our healthcare system. By using AI tools in its services Howard Center is also exposing its clients to an additional and unnecessary level of risk regarding their sensitive information.

Howard Center management has denied the request of a worker-led petition with over 140 signatures demanding that the agency end its contract with Eleos. As a community, we support Howard Center workers, and we agree that AI has no place at Howard Center. So, as members of the community served by Howard Center, we are demanding that the agency end its contract with Eleos Health now!
