No Other Land -- Oscar Winning Film Screening and Discussion

Richmond Racial Equity

Richmond Racial Equity invites you to a film screening and discussion on Occupied Palestine.

February 22, 4 - 6:30, Richmond Free Library, Community room 2nd floor.

Come watch the Oscar-winning documentary film, No Other Land, made by a Palestinian-Israeli collective of four directors over the course of five years. No Other Land provides a harrowing account of the systematic destruction of Masafer Yatta, a group of Palestinian villages in the southern West Bank, at the hands of the Israeli military.

The film will be introduced by a talk by Hamed Bakir, a Palestinian American living in Vermont, in retirement from a 30 year career with the United Nations development agencies, primarily the World Health Organization and UNICEF, and will be followed by a discussion, with Bakir and Sophie Cassel, a member of Jewish Voice for Peace and Richmond resident.

Admission is FREE. Donations accepted to benefit Masafer Yatta.
